Mashadi Matabane is a writer and Humanities teacher-scholar.
She recently graduated with a PhD in American Studies and once worked on the editorial staffs of national women's magazines.
Her research and teaching interests include 18th-21st century U.S. histories (with an emphasis on women and ethnic, immigrant, and frontier communities); American popular and visual cultures, African diasporas, qualitative research methods, life stories & (auto) biographies; cultural- and post-memories.
